These Terms govern your use of the SmartCaps iOS app. By installing or using SmartCaps, you agree to them.
Who runs SmartCaps
SmartCaps is owned and operated by Vitalis Apps (Daniel Simple). Contact: [email protected].
What SmartCaps does
SmartCaps lets you import a vertical video, automatically transcribe the audio, and burn animated captions into a new copy of the video. The output is yours to keep, edit, and publish.
Free trial
Your first captioned video is free. After that, you must subscribe to SmartCaps Pro to render more.
SmartCaps Pro subscription
- Plans: monthly (€14.99) or yearly (€59.99). Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App Store at the time of purchase.
- Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Cancel any time at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged.
- No refunds are issued by Vitalis Apps; refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store's standard terms.
- Restore: re-installing or switching device, tap "Restore" on the paywall or in Settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: reverse-engineer the app or our servers; use SmartCaps to caption content you do not have the right to use; abuse our transcription servers (we may rate-limit or block clearly abusive behaviour); or upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates a third party's rights.
Your content
You retain all rights to the videos you import and the captioned videos you export. We do not claim any rights over your content, and we do not store your videos or audio (see the Privacy Policy).
Service availability
SmartCaps depends on third-party services (Apple App Store, our transcription provider). We do our best to keep the app working but cannot guarantee uptime or that every clip will transcribe perfectly.
Disclaimer
SmartCaps is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, Vitalis Apps is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where Vitalis Apps is registered.
