What does SmartCaps do?

SmartCaps turns your vertical video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) into a captioned version with auto-generated, word-by-word subtitles styled like the ones you see from top creators. Pick a clip up to 3 minutes, we transcribe the audio, and we burn the captions into a new MP4 you can save to Photos or share.

What languages are supported?

Spanish, English, and the other Latin-alphabet languages our transcription engine supports. We even handle clips that switch between Spanish and English mid-sentence. The language is detected automatically; you do not need to set it.

Does my video leave my phone?

Only the audio track is uploaded, and only for as long as transcription takes. The video itself never leaves your device, and we do not store the audio after transcription is done.

How long can my clips be?

Up to 3 minutes per clip. We deliberately cap the length to keep transcriptions fast and accurate.

Why is the first video free?

So you can try the whole flow end-to-end before paying. After your first video, SmartCaps Pro unlocks unlimited captions, all four caption styles, and clips up to 3 minutes.

Can I edit the words?

Yes. In the editor, switch to the Words tab, tap any word to fix a typo, and the caption updates instantly. Tapping a word also jumps the preview to that moment.

Can I change the caption style after exporting?

Not in this version. Once a video is rendered, the captions are burned in. Re-render the same source clip to try a different preset or position.

My captions look wrong, or I cannot transcribe

Make sure the clip has clear spoken audio (not pure music, not silence) and you are on a stable network. If it still fails, send the clip to [email protected] and we will take a look.
